Iron city beer
Three weeks is the time my wife and I have been here on the burgh. We’re coming full of dreams and wondering for adventure (kind of). I am writing this because I would like to share some cool pics while telling little of our story here.
Hard thing on Pittsburgh is to get beer. We arrived here at Saturday night, about 9 o clock. It was my wife’s birthday, all day on planes, we wanted to celebrate. Little money on our pockets, we walk through the downtown to find somewhere to eat and have a birthday dinner. Five guys was the place (great hamburgers by the way).
It is really incredible how empty can the downtown be. It was Saturday night, 9 o'clock, no one in the street, just us and some cool guys taking pictures in a Mercedez Benz.
Next day got to the groceries store. Aldi, compared to other places, it was an small place but to be honest, pretty cool, and not just that, cheaper than others. As I said before, hard thing is to find beer on Pittsburgh. There is any beer on Groceries stores.
I like beer, my first beer was after two weeks on the burgh. That is how hard is to get a beer.
Folks here are really polite, friendly. It is a big city, yes it is, but also, with kind feeling of and small town, great city. I’m into running, it is a great city for running, you can go through the bridges, reach Steelers stadium and the PNC Park. Almost all the pics you see here were shot while running. Great city for sports too. Loving this City, really.
First thing first, I got my library card as soon as possible. Great thing is library exist, are like temples. Got a Hemingway book out of there, first book I read on the States. Awesome libraries, they are. Right now I got three more books out of there.
Sure thing right now I am the only one listening to Joaquin Sabina in the whole Pittsburgh, maybe in the whole state.
It is almost April and we got snow, terrific, love snow.
